From 27/09 to 2 / 10 students majoring in economics, biology , law, management, tourism and arts, the UNS with high school students traveled to Chaco to participate in the interdisciplinary seminar "Development of habitat popular with social organizations." There conducted a bonding experience of the disciplines that study the needs of our people and confluence and popular unit. The goal we set was to contribute from the races we studied the organization and the struggle of indigenous peoples and poor farmers in the Chaco.

As students and as future professionals, and ongoing debates over the affairs of our discipline. During the race we find the low output field to integrate theoretical knowledge and that directly affects the professional profile and the knowledge that we can provide to society. The proposed trip to Chaco's main objective is to promote these discussions in relation to reality Argentina, understanding that the University should be linked with the sectors most in need of their contributions.

Chaco province, is one of the highest rates of infant mortality, malnutrition and unemployment. The northern area is the starting point of the "hunger map" and hundreds of people start a journey in search of jobs and better living conditions, and the outcome of being destined to live in urban margins as the neighborhood "The Hills" and "Chaco" in our city or neighborhood Toba, in Rosario.



What is the trip?

After the experience of 2009 of UNR students, this year we are going to the area a contingent of students from various disciplines of the UNL and UNR and joined from the UNS (humanities, bio, environment, geology, management , counter, etc) and will carry out a socioeconomic survey of living conditions of people through an interdisciplinary intervention.
